A unique Magnesium Free* low calorie balancer designed to provide everything required to maintain the health of horses and ponies.

LamiCORE contains EquiFeast's patented VCAL chelated calcium*. Trials suggest it also helps maintain balanced hormone production. In addition LamiCORE contains a full spectrum vitamin and mineral balancer, psyllium to help with insulin/glucose regulation as well as ingredients to support hoofs. Starch and sugar level approx 10%. If you are paranoid about being starch/sugar free use our supplement version LAM Essentials. LamiCORE is Tyrosine free because horses with some metabolic issues don't seem to get on well with tyrosine.

The LamiCORE is designed to be fed five days per week. It can be fed once a day or split over a number of feeds.

LamiCORE is a maintenance product, we recommend that any horse which has not already used a VCAL formulated product is fed LamiCORE STARTER for the first 5 weeks.

This product helps with:
• Behaviour
• Feet
• Coat condition
• Mobility
* Metabolic issues
* Extra Vitamin E for horses with muscle issues

Calcium contributes to normal muscle function, neurotransmission, normal blood clotting, energy yielding metabolism as well as the normal function of digestive enzymes and the process of cell division and specialisation in addition to its recognised requirement for the maintenance of normal teeth and bones*.

* Approved health claim on the EU Register on nutrition and health claims p5-7 of 835.

To get the most out of LamiCORE, it should be fed alongside an un-supplemented fibre and (if required) calorie source. It is important that the rest of the diet s doesn't contain ingredients that conflict with LamiCORE. These include artificial magnesium and many herbal ingredients. To ensure you avoid these we strongly recommend that you send us information about your horse's diet. The easiest way to do this is to fill in our Free Diet Review Form:

    Lamicore for Pssm2 horses

Posted by Julie Knaggs on 12th Feb 2024

I took part in a lamicore trial for Pssm2 horses originallly. My horse was different within a week, calmer, straighter, moved much more fluidly and was much easier and quieter to ride. I have now used it for 3 years, withno other supplements and can highly recommend it!

    Lamicore

Posted by Kate on 11th Jun 2023

I started my gelding on the cool core a fair few months ago, he can detect anything in his food from a mile away and wasn't overly keen, but we persevered and I have to say it worked wonders. He used to have a proper tantrum when there was something he didn't like but he is now much more rational about things the majority of the time. I now have him on the lamicore due to it being lower in calories as he lives off fresh air! The support from Equi-feast has been amazing, they sent me samples of various things to try and tempt him to eat it and have replied to all my emails with excellent advice. I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of giving it a try!

    LamiCore

My RER Connemara has been on LamiCore for 18 months now and will continue to be. He’s gone from being grumpy, stressy, reactive and explosive to being calm, laidback and a pleasure to be around. He’s still very alert but I don’t get any reactive or explosive behaviour anymore. He’s also on More Muscle and Digest and is a happy boy now.

    Supplement for Pssm1 mare

Posted by Gillian Ault on 13th Jan 2023

My mare was diagnosed Pssm1, I did a lot of research and spoke to Malcolm from Equifeast. I decided to try Lamicore with a different way of thinking. It required no magnesium and no herbs. I found out Pixi had Lymes disease and Vasculitis as well. Her coat was sparse but long and brown looking, she was clipped when I got her in winter, she was also extremely itchy. Pixi has been on Lamicore for 5 months and had full blood tests done including vitamins and minerals. They were all just right apart from her manganese was low, probably because of restricting grass for her Pssm, so I add a small amount to her feed. Her coat looks lovely now and black, she was very ill and has been on steroids for her Vasculitis. Before going on Lamicore, she’d put on weight, she eats well but seems to maintain the right weight, her body seems more in balance. The Lamicore has been a great supplement to give her the best support, we’ve a way to go, but I know from her blood tests the Lamicore is providing everything her body needs.

LamiCORE has been life changing for my mare. She's the most comfortable she's been in years & is slowly building back her muscle loss

    Lamicore and PSSM2

    Posted by N B on 18th Apr 2022

My horse has the PSSM2 variant n/px. I started feeding lamicore along with More fibre and More Chaff 12 weeks ago. So far it’s working really well for my horse. She’s much calmer - she can be very anxious and stressy but is SO much better on this feed combination. Her muscles are nice and soft where previously her back muscles were always very tight. I’m slowly bringing her back in to work - all hacking work, no schooling yet. So far she’s doing brilliantly, riding out for up to 45 minutes in walk and trot and have just introduced some short canters this week. I should add that my mare’s stressy and anxious behaviour was actually worse between weeks 2 and 5 of the loading dose, but by week 6 she was like a different horse. I’m so glad I persevered. Lots of follow liveries have commented that they can’t believe how much calmer and relaxed my mare is now. Hopefully the equifeast diet keeps working it’s magic!

    Lamicore

Posted by Helen Tilburn on 15th Feb 2022

I started my Connemara on this (using the starter pack first) in Sept 2021 after he was diagnosed with RER and can say we haven't looked back. After him being tense, anxious and becoming increasingly explosive, after just 2 weeks on Lamicore he started to revert back to his normal calm, laid back self, with no episodes of reactive behaviour since. The help and support that Malcolm and his staff give is first class, someone is always available to offer help and advice and delivery is usually within 24 - 48 hours. Excellent Company, products and service.

    LamiCore Follow-on Low Cal Balancer

Posted by Julie Martin on 7th Jan 2022

I ordered this for my 4yr old heavyweight cob. She is overweight and also was spooky to lead in and out of the field, up a 100 mtr track through a farmyard - which she’s done every day since I bought her as a weaning. Had tried magnesium (!) to no avail. There didn’t appear to be a pattern to her behaviour. Well, I’m gobsmacked! She is a totally different horse! She is not, and never will be, a ‘dope on a rope’, she’s sparky and sassy but she is so much calmer! If she is a little startled by something, she stops and looks and carries on, not like before when she would wind herself up, jump onto me, and generally scare me (I’m 62 and really don’t need to be knocked over). She is alert, aware of her surroundings, interested in whatever is going on, but seems able to keep herself grounded. She is now on her second follow-on pack, and i’ll be ordering more shortly. Thank you EquiFeast.

    Good product

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Mar 2020

Giving this to my horse who has cushings. Recent blood test showed that his levels are doing well on just one prascend tablet a day and the Lamicore supplement at recommended dose. Vet was very pleased with his levels.
