The irresistible rise of
Harry Meade

WE BELIEVE Harry Meade is Britain's most promising young event rider. He has been the best rider under the age of 25 on the previous 6 out of 7 starts at Badminton, Burghley and the British Open at Gatcombe.
In the short time we have known him we have been very impressed by Harry Meade's
professionalism. His focus on the job is incredible and his work rate prodigious. His attention to detail is reflected in his outstandingly consistent results at top level. Despite his young age, he has made 6 starts at Badminton and Burghley and always finished within the top 25 places (this was written in 2007). His preparation is second to none enabling him to repeatedly perform at top level without making mistakes.
And just as importantly Harry Meade is open minded and prepared to try new things. Like most he thought that there was nothing new in nutrition - surely the big firms knew it all? But he was still prepared to give a new player a go at solving a long-standing problem. But like a true professional he did his research first by talking to some of our existing customers!
The results are clear. We have made a positive difference to Harry Meade's number one horse both at home and in competition and now we are his official supplements supplier. We are delighted to become a part of his team and equally pleased that he will be part of our team by helping evaluate new technologies. In that he joins a number of other young and not so young customers that have been with us for longer.
Here are Harry Meade's and Dazzler's key results before and after (red) starting on WINNINGEDGE Gold in June 2007.

The photos to the right of Harry Meade and Midnight Dazzler were taken at the Leaf Pit at Burghley. This was an incredibly dark environment and I think photographer Jan Milne has managed to capture the dramatic nature of this obstacle absolutely brilliantly.

Dark horse, dark jump dark environment!

Why I picked EquiFeast
Harry Meade

"When I was first told about WINNING EDGE I was very sceptical" said Harry. "But Midnight Dazzler's nervousness in the big arenas was legendary and certainly holding us back. It was looking increasingly unlikely that he would achieve his potential of a top ten 4* finish so we decided to try it."

Behaviour at home & travelling
The sight of the lorry in the yard used to be enough to have Dazzler trembling and sweating. Within a very short time the supplement had stopped this completely and he travels better and arrives at competitions unstressed. He is eating better and holding condition easier. We all thought spookiness was just Dazzler's personality but the purely nutritional nature of WINNINGEDGE is demonstrating that his natural personality is far calmer.

Behaviour at competitions
Dazzler has been far more relaxed. Previously he would spend the first 30 minutes of warm up with his eyes on stalks and his head in the air. Now we are down to work almost immediately. He is far more relaxed in the big arenas and our dressage scores are improving and I am confident they will continue to get better and better.

At Burghley he was held at the start of the cross country for a faller on the course. This would usually have caused him to get very uptight and stressed but instead he coped exceedingly well and quickly settled into an excellent rhythm.

Physical condition & stamina
At 17 Dazzler is remarkably fit. WINNINGEDGE certainly appears to be looking after his bones, muscles, joints and soft tissues backed up by WINNINGEDGE ElectrolytesPLUS before and during competitions to maximise staying power. No-one who has seen his cross country performances recently can doubt his stamina, balance and judgement.

Competition results since using WINNINGEDGE

The previously "unridable"
Midnight Dazzler

Calm, relaxed, concentrating
Historically, Dazzler has been explosive and defiant in the dressage but after just a few weeks on WINNINGEDGE he is finding the big occasions almost completely unthreatening and rankings at the end of this phase were significantly better at both Gatcombe and Burghley (picture).

Power, stamina, judgement
With Burghley in mind Harry Meade held back at Gatcombe yet still finished the cross country third fastest. At Burghley (picture) 17 year old Dazzler flew round a highly technical course that had many experienced combinations in trouble. They were one of only seven fault-free rounds, well inside the time and with plenty of fuel still in the tank.

Control, rhythm, accuracy
Every time the crowd gasps you know a fence has been hit or knocked down. At both Gatcombe and Burghley (picture) the audience was silent for Dazzler's round as not a single fence was threatened. The last fence at Burghley was particularly vulnerable but Dazzler sailed over it with ease to become one of only two horses to jump a clear round in the show jumping, and the only horse to finish on it's dressage score.

Recently Harry Meade wrote - "Dazzler suffers from two forms of nerves. Firstly he gets very wound up at an event or wherever there are numerous other horses, flags, music, etc. WinningEdge has helped him to stay calmer when in the spotlight.
The second way that he reacts under pressure is that his perception seems to suffer and he makes irrational decisions when stressed - i.e. working out a problem in front of a fence. I had worried that his eyesight was deteriorating but WinningEdge claims to be able to equip horses with the tools to process information in a more rational way. I thought that this seemed rather a bold claim but it does, amazingly, seem to work."

Course walks with Harry Meade are being arranged at Badminton and Burghley and possibly Gatcombe. Sometimes they are given away as prizes to magazine readers. Othertimes customers are invited to join us. If you are interested please get in touch and we will see if we can fit you in.
