Hi Malcolm and team,
I know you have been speaking to my Dad and he has been telling you how pleased we are with how both Shelley and Up 'n' Rising aka Maude have been performing since using your products. This updates mainly going to be on Maude as Shelley's been trialling some of your calming products, however, we have seen a huge improvement in her which makes everyday things like leading to the field much easier and safer for us, sadly she's not 100% sound at the moment which is very frustrating for both me and her as even though she's 20 now retirement is not for her so here's hoping she'll improve soon.
Regarding Maude I can't tell you enough how happy I am with her since we put her on WINNINGEDGE Silver after reading an article on Harry Meade and problems with horses 'locking onto a fence'. Since using the product she's never come home without a placing in show jumping even when not attempting to be placed in a speed class of over 70 at Myerscough she still managed to get 8th!
Our weakest phase is cross country, as she's a mare who, once she believes she can't do something, throws in the towel. Last season we completed a number of events and even when we had an issue we managed to overcome it which was a huge improvement, now we just have to work on the brakes a bit more as now if anything we can be a bit too keen and lock onto the wrong fence. Hopefully this will be solved by the time we start eventing in June.
Over all she's a different horse. We qualified for the National Tetrathlon Championships at Hartpury which was run over a mixture of 1* and 2* fences. And recently she qualified for the Blue Chip Show jumping Championships again at Hartpury and the Pony Club Open Dengie Championship at Warwickshire College, both of these we just missed out on placings but couldn't have been more happy with the way she performed as we didn't have the best preparation due to me being at uni and she didn't react at all to the spooky arenas and was an absolute star the whole time.
Hopefully I will have many more results to tell you after my exams have finished
Thanks again
Emma Coverdale (and Maude and Shelley)
Update 28th April 2009
We went cross country schooling last
weekend over Cumwhintons BE fences which was the first time since August
last year and Maude was amazing.
She's not fully fit but was really enjoying herself and locking on to the fences much better. We only had one blip which was over the Novice level Corner where she took the mick abit by running out three times when I asked her to jump it on the right hand side even though she jumped the left hand side perfectly first time. But later we found out she'd cut her mouth so was just a little bit sore. Otherwise she jumped everything - which was brill when you think I couldn't even get her over a 2ft log at one point before she went on WINNINGEDGE.
Thanks again
Emma Coverdale
